The Issues
Corporate influence and unchecked greed have turned American health care into a profit center—leaving millions uninsured, underinsured, or deep in debt.
Profits Over Patients
Unaffordable Coverage
Corrupt Influence
We fight to expose this corruption—
and to change it.
Our Initiatives
Explore our work on health insurance influence, out-of-pocket costs, and Medicare Advantage accountability.
Medicare Advantage Accountability Project
Medicare Advantage now covers more than half of all Medicare beneficiaries, yet growing evidence points to widespread concerns about prior authorization, denied care, overpayments, and corporate consolidation. The Medicare Advantage Accountability Project provides research, analysis, and educational resources to help policymakers, advocates, and the public understand how these practices affect patients and taxpayers.
Lower Out-of-Pocket Costs
Too many Americans have health insurance but still cannot afford the care they need. Through research, public education, coalition building, and policy development, the Lower Out-of-Pocket Costs Initiative works to advance solutions that reduce premiums, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and other financial barriers to care.
